First off, I want to acknowledge and thank all you new subscribers! More than three dozen of you in just the last week! I’m bowled over and very grateful.
I’m guessing that some of you found your way here through the copious notes I’ve been posting in a mostly futile effort to keep myself sane as we barrel toward Election Day. Have you VOTED? Have you DONE SOMETHING to make sure America will still be a free country after 2025? I’ll bet you have.
But if you’re anything like me, you’re worried. Your own work has suffered during this period of colossal uncertainty and polarization. And you’re not sure you’ll ever get your writing, not to mention your life, health, and sense of security, back on track if the election goes the wrong way. We’re not alone in this fear.
